Cavalo do Pensamento is a mythical creature present in Portuguese Legends and Folclore

Moodboard

This creature is characterized as a horse with huge bat like wings that is able to breathe fire. I looked for some images that could serve as reference to those elements and compiled them in the MoodBoard below

In the Thumbnails I sought to create a silhouette that could distinctively present this creature's prominent features.

Throughout the sketches I sought to further develop some different ideas and concepts before quickly arriving at a more final decision.

Color Tests

Here I was testing to see what colors would fit the beast the best. Exploring options featuring warmer colors to make it more clear of its Fire Breathing abilities and cooler colors predicting the contrasts they would have.
